Starting the New Year!

After finishing all the Christmas knitting for 2011 (Yay!!!), I said I was done with socks for a while.  So, of course that means that I have 2 pairs on needles already and its January 1st.  I visited out local yarn outlet and found a really nice cotton blend in an off white and an awesome brown twist.  I usually knit worsted or double fingering weight socks, and this is my first pair with actual sock yarn.  It is taking forever.  I have completed down to the first heal, but they are turning out pretty well.  The pictures are pretty dark, as they were taken with my phone. 

Its a pretty simple pattern, starting with 64 stitches on 2.75mm needles.  I don't know if I am going to keep them or put them in the basket for Christmas next year.  If I learnt anything at all from the frantic knitting this past month, I would put them away for next year.
